On September 21st, 2023, Dongguk University successfully hosted the “2023 Startup Atelier” event at Paljeongdo. The event aimed to foster an entrepreneurial culture and support young entrepreneurs. The Startup Atelier event was primarily designed to share various information and experiences related to entrepreneurship. The event welcomed not the students of Dongguk University but also the general public. One of its main objectives was to boost the entrepreneurial spirit within the institution.

A unique feature of the event was the “d.DAY program,” aimed at bolstering the entrepreneurial prowess of students and youth interested in startup ventures. This program allowed attendees to engage in networking opportunities and deepen their insights into the startup realm.

Several entrepreneurial clubs from Dongguk University showcased their ventures: “Août” focused on eco-friendly upcycled products and specialized coffee blends. “DIPPER” introduced global entrepreneurial concepts, echoing the voice of Dongguk University’s international students. “GrowthHelper” promoted its unique program centered around surveys and interviews, ensuring participants received compensation above the minimum wage.

Moreover, “Kkirikiri” and “Neomeogada” offered interactive photo booth services and educational products for slow learners. “Dachaeroun” and “LogiVerse” drew attention with their innovative approach to vintage clothing and machinery safety. “Baeksang,” “Sidong,” and “O’Ellis” captivated attendees with artistic endeavors, lotus-based desserts, and symbolic bracelets.

Attendees observed and had the chance to experience firsthand the startup items presented by each club. The organizers presented the anticipated benefits: from amplifying the university’s entrepreneurial culture and sparking more significant interest in entrepreneurial studies. The Dongguk Post recognizes the positive impact that such events have on, shaping the future of young entrepreneurs. The university’s role in nurturing entrepreneurial talent is praiseworthy, and we look forward to more success stories emerging from such endeavors.
