The ceremony began with a piano performance by Philip, an international student from the Czech Republic, an acoustic performance by Seo Seung-hyun, a second-year law student, and a cello ensemble performance by Monk Jung Ho. President Yun Jae-woong, who was in charge of a congratulatory address, said, "We will become a necessary school in the world that contributes to the human community through education, research, and service by realizing the life of Sanggubori Hahwajungsaeng." Furthermore, he expressed his determination in the future, saying that he would use Dongguk development and Buddhist revival as a wheel to foster young Buddhists. In 2023, the slogan of ceremony was designated as Peace of Mind and the World of Buddha. Ven Donkwan, said that Buddhism is loved because Sakyamuni was born as a human being, valued human equality ideas and human dignity, and valued fostering wisdom and mercy, not knowledge. Ceremony ended with the origin of the representative monk of Jeonggakwon. The Dongguk Post hopes that many young Buddhists at Dongguk University will be trained to contribute to the development of Buddhism.
